What size trailer for a DK45SE with FEL?

I never got around to buying my trailer yet, but I was leaning toward 18-20ft 10K trailer with brakes on both axles. How does yours sit on the 20 footer? Would you be able to put a 6 or 7' RFM mower on the trailer?

PA, Everything fits fine and it trailers great. I don't think you would have any problems with a 6 of 7ft RFM. The longest fit I have is when I have my 6ft Roadboss grader hooked up. Since I have back issues, my trailer has spring loaded ramps which basically prevents anything from being able to hang over the back when trailering. Even with this setup everything fits fine with the bucket resting on the front rail. With my 5ft mower, I can keep the bucket inside the rail. Hope this helps.

I use the "bobcat" trailer from a local equipment rental place. It's a 16 x 7 foot deck with dual axles. It has a surge brake on it. No idea whether that's on both axles or not. It holds my DK45 Cab with Loader and backhoe no problem. As long as the transport pin is in place on the BH which hangs off the back by about a foot or so. It's $50 for a one day rental. I figure that I can rent it 50 times before considering actually buying a trailer. They also throw some chain binders in with the rental, so I think it's a good deal.

Unless you transport regularly or need on an imediate basis, the above logic can not be argued with.

One rental would cover registration fee alone, much less tires, upkeep, etc. I would seriously consider this approach going forward if I did not already have my trailer.

I think surge brakes are a bunch easier to deal with than electric, just wiring up your truck can be a hastle and controlers are not cheap.
