Looking to get prices on 3 pt. rough cut rotary cutters for my 4110. I was thinking about a 6 ft. cut mainly because my dealer suggested no bigger than that.
BUT, do you think the 4110 will operate a 7 ft. without any problems?
I now pull a 5 ft. trailer type cutter with my Allis-Chalmers CA (26 hp) without any problem.
My thinking is that the 4110 should have the power for 7 ft.
Any thoughts???

Well, it all depends upon what you are cutting and when. I have posted alot about rotary cutters. I have a 6' and a 10' cutter. My recollection is that some think the 7' is the hardest percentage wise to operate considering the blades involved.
Also, depends upon how wet the cutting material is, how high it is, and how low you cut it, and how fast you want to go. I can cut real high stuff that is wet pretty fast if I move the cutting height up. If you want a nice low cut, sure you can cut it, but your going to have to cut in a low gear.
Also, be sure and grease your rear wheel every time you cut. That shaft and wheel are literally the pivot point for the whole cutter.
