What size rake for my 187D yanmar

I have been searching the site before for this info....seems a 5ft rake is the size.....4 ft for bush hog (have) and box blade (buying).....

5ft be too much for the 187D??

Thinking about getting the gauge wheels....hard to believe they want $300 or more for these wheels.....may try to get something home made....I have an old finish mower with the two rear wheels....seems like I could have them welded on to do the same job.....just have to make sure the height is correct....

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

....just a foot note.....took my old trusty boykin hunting this past saturday....was under 2 pines with my yanmar as my back drop.....no food but they will come in my small field every once in a while....hunted from 4:30 to 7:30 and got 4 ....decent considering I have no food and no water....got to fix this next year...that's why I bought the tractor....

well, i would say it would pull a 5 foot landscape rake. i can run my 5 foot blade on my yanmar with ease, still havent tried the rake but the rake will pull fine. for a boxblade, check out the 4 foot KingKutter models. I have the XB series and it has never broke or had any problems. It was my first implement and still the most used. :thumbsup:

Thanks for the input....I am looking at a xb 4ft right now with a local seller.....wants $350 and looks almost brand new....I was a little concerned about the durability...sounds like it has served you well. May go look at it on friday.

Mine has even been used on my dads 44hp deere! Very durable unit and i got mine new for $425. very much worth the $$$. :thumbsup:
