Box Scraper What size box scraper for a Kubota L3010

Greetings all,

I am about to purchase a box scraper for my L3010 HST. 32 engine horsepower, 25 at the PTO. The outside width of my R4 tires is 66". I'll be using it for hard packed dirt driveway maintenance; removal of humps and potholes, crowning, drainage etc. The terrain is not level.

The big question; will a 72" box scraper be too much for the tractor or would the slightly greater width be a benefit. Might a 66", the exact width of the tires be a better choice.

72" will be fine... you can always take it easy - not as much of a bite. I use a 6 footer, I like the extra width.

We have used a six footer on our L3000DT,just take smaller bites if needed.I have used it on my L4240 and made work hard.

Thanks for the advice. The 6 foot it will be. If it labors too much I can always buy a bigger tractor!

You probably know this already, but buy a blade with the clevis style hookup for the lower pins. Also get as much weight as you can afford.
