What size back blade?

I have a BX 1850, just wondering what size back blade. Mostly snow removal.

I would say a 5 footer. Angled over it should be just a bit wider than your tractor.

Agreed, 5 foot works well on my BX25.

Good to hear... have a 5 footer sitting ready to go this winter as soon as I take my BH off for the first time on my BX.

Mine's 12 years old now, I bought it with my first Kubota, a BX 2200. I finally flipped the cutting edge over last year but other than that no issues. I wouldn't want to go wider because it starts to act like a rudder when the snow gets deeper.

5 footer worked fine on my BX2660 as well. It appears you have already made the best choice. Also it may clear your backside in case you chose to turn the blade 180 degrees for pushing backwards....at least it did on mine.

I think he is saying that if you spin the blade around and push backwards with the blade at an angle, the path cleared is wider than your back tires.

Aha! Wondering if this is the best for snowplowing (less than 12in) on a gravel sloped driveway or... the FEL? Again, apologies... first winter with my BX.
