I know I'd like to get as close to 40 hp as possible...maybe a Kioti (Bobcat) or Mahindra. Seems like I would be getting more for my money with those brands. It'll be a little while until the finances are available though. Gives me more time to drive my wife crazy with my obsessive researching

My B2400 HST is dying on me and I'm considering upgrading...I own a small property and would like a little larger tractor. I think I've overused an undersized tractor for too long and am finally paying the price. I use the tractor for landscaping, driveway grading, snow removal (with FEL & rear blade), hauling firewood etc. I would also like to get something large enough to handle a 5' or possibly 6' Rotary Cutter and I've been interested in a 3 pt log splitter. I will be buying something used and would like to stay under $20,000. I'm interested in hearing your opinions.

The good thing with that weight class, is they're usually affordable. The homeowner market hasn't driven up costs beyond comprehension. I wanted an L machine, but the reality is I mow more than anything else so my logical side is pushing me to stay in a B or even a BX.

There are many NH, Deere and older Kubota Utility Tractors, that are well under 20,000 in my area.

Well I finally made the leap and went with an LS XG3140H. I bought a 6' rotary mower, 7' landscape rake, 2 sets of rear remotes and got the tires loaded. I absolutely love the tractor so far (about 50 hrs).
