Posthole Digger What RPM for PHD?

/ What RPM for PHD? #2
Idle.

Or slower.....

Only time I ever speed upis after the hole is dug & the auger is out, to spin the dirt off the screw.

Slow, slow, slow for digging.

Very slowly. Idle speed or just keep tractor from lugging at too slow of a rpm. If you hit an object, hopefully it will just kill the tractor rather than break something.

Idle speed is just fine. I've drilled over 250 holes for fence posts that way and no problems with any of them. Fortunately where I live I don't have to worry about rocks and such in the ground.

That is why you have been able to dig 250 holes without problem.
You are a lucky man. My place specializes in rock production.
