what regulatory agency for tel co?

anybody know which governmental regulatory agency handles complaints about the telco.. if it makes a difference, i live in florida..

Depending on the nature of the complaint the FCC may also be involved, this is especially the case for service outages but not so useful for surly repairmen.

In Texas it's the Public Untility Commission of Texas and when I called them about a problem with a telephone company, a manager from the phone company called me within a couple of hours to take care of the problem.

I live in Virginia and contacted the Public Service Commision with a problem I was having with my carrier. My phone went dead and they thought it was acceptable for me to wait seven days for my appointment with their repair service. Two days after I callled the PSC the phone was fixed.

The utility regulators are basically figureheads or puppets of the utility companies .

Same thing goes with insurance regulators.
