What oil in differential for b275?

I'm new to tractors and just bought a IH B275. I'm in the process of changing all fluids. I know it specs 80w90 for the differential, but after doing reading here, I am confused. This will work, but look for this rating...

I plan on using this old girl for moving a bit of dirt, but mainly for winter snow removal. I in Canada just south of Detroit, MI.

What should I be putting in?

Also does it make sense to go synthetic for the engine (15w40)?

It's pretty cold in Detroit area. Not sure how much that differential holds, but you can sure put a synthetic 75-90 gear oil in that, and fill the engine with a good name brand synthetic 10-30. That ought to make her purr like a maltese tomcat on the coldest day.

Not really sure where one would find synthetic 75w-90 in a bucket, though. You'd have to look around, ask at Petro Canada, perhaps.

On the engine, be sure it is diesel rated oil. Here, I can get 10w-30 Rotella Semi Synthetic or 5w-40 Rotella Full Synthetic at WalMart very reasonably priced.

Amsoil Severe Fluid is what I use...nothing better and looks and smells like new when I drain.

I would use a 5w-40 for an oil...15w-40 is okay but winter are not the best.
