Got to thinking about oil, gas, diesel, etc. regarding current prices and the outlook of many about the future of energy. I really haven't read or seen what will become of tools running on oil based products-tractors, lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, etc.. Will all of our small machines become obsolete without access to the fuels? Will all the smaller engines be able to be converted to burn the "new" fuel? What about those that have purchased these items for the long haul? Will they have to be scrapped? Love my tractor and other "toys" and worry about the future of them.

Yes they will have to be scrapped and since scrap prices are up and I am feeling generous today I will give you 2 times scrap price for all your equipment but only if you act quickly. :D It will all be junk someday why not today?

I thought we were already in the process of changing all the smaller engines to battery powered.:D

I really hope not. its a huge energy waste when charging them. half of energy is heat.

I had the same thought 7snakes. Even if we managed to find an better alternative source of liquid fuel, we still need lubricants.

I think somebody will invent an efficient bio type combustable fuel that replaces oil.

Either that or we will all have to get really big rubber bands and wind up our stuff before we use it.
