What left this track/

I'm thinkin it's a big coon or a big otter. What do you think?
The track in in low lying (evrythings lowlying around here) area about 400yds from a creek, 1 mile from the gulf.
the brass is a .223 case.

This..another about 200yds further in the direction of travel.

Looks too big for a coon, I do not think it's canine either...

I would vote for coon --otters have webbing in there feet and usually leave a tail drag mark.

Yea...no tail drag, which would preclude the gator suggestion. I have seen some large coons in these parts but I just can't picture one with a foot that big. It's possible that a light rain has diminished the tail drag to a point where it was unnoticeable...for a mammal, but a reptile has an edge on the end of the tail that would be apparent.
that is a big foot and it has me puzzled.

I'm thinking it's a beaver. I've shot them well over 50 pounds, and been with friends who have shot them as big as 80 pounds. We saw bigger, but 80 is the biggest that I've personaly seen come out of the water.

I was thinking beaver too, we trapped some large ones, took two of us to get them on the bank.
