The kioti ck 10 series is fairly new. It's the replacement of the ck series. Kioti designed these tractors to be very competitive with the Kubota line up. The ck 10 series is lighter than past model ck 's but has more hp and higher lift capacities. They have also made some of the previously standard features optional now. I would expect to see a cab option available before to long. I have not seen any reviews yet on the 3510 or the 4010. The old CKs were excellent tractors in pretty much every way in my opinion. These new tractors look nice also but are very different. They look like a complete redesign. If they offer a cab on this lineup it sounds like exactly what you're looking for. I have heard guys getting the 3510 equipped with loader and hydrostat for under 19,000.00.

I have to say that the NX4510HST that we have has been better than we expected. The only thing that I have any issues with is the "HST Lag" other than that it checks all the boxes. And by far the best value in the range you are looking at. You will absolutely love the Cab. The Dealer issue is up to you and after you meet them in person it may or may not be a deal breaker. But my vote would be the Kioti

What HST lag issue? I can instantly bounce from fwd to reverse on my Kubota. I'm kind of partial to the Kubota treddle, but they are the ony ones like that. Everybody else is 2 seperate pedals.

Dealer being an hour & a half isnt a deal breaker at all. Mildly annoying at best. If they were more convenient i'd have already wandered through to kick the tires like I do at JD & Kubota every so often. I think im getting more serious on my cabbed upgrade sooner than later after recent snow removal expiditions though. Have to get a feel for the dealer when I go shopping. I can do my own maintnance & upgrades, so they would only be getting warranty work & bigger fixes. If it was smaller stuff, it would be easier to have them ship me the parts & just do it myself.

I have definitely gotten the impression Kioti si great value for the $$$, hece me sniffing around here for more info.

Fallon, you might notice a "lag" on the Kioti when when changing directions. Here is the difference, on your Kubota you are directly controlling the swash plate of the variable hydro pump. The pedal is directly linked. But on the larger Kioti's the swash plate is controlled by a hydraulic servo mechanism. You control it, and it controls the swash plate. So when you stomp reverse and then stomp forward there is a slight delay before the hydro changes directions. It is slight, but noticeable. The smaller Kioti's use the direct coupling just like the smaller Kubota's. But the pedal pressure needs to be larger to control larger swash plates, hence the "power steering" or hydraulic advantage of the hydraulic servo. On the Grand L Kubota's the response of this hydraulic servo can be controlled by the operator from the panel. In the older models it was a response knob, and on the newer ones it is a menu item in the display. But on the Kioti's like mine it is not adjustable. It is what it is.

I noticed it immediately when switching from the Kubota L3400 to the DK35se. With the Kubota the directional changes could be abrupt.. You could go forward for instance and then stop the reverse portion of the treadle and actually spin the tires backward while still going forward. You can't do that with the Kioti, as it is more "modulated" and the response is slower. On the Grand L's you can adjust the response from abrupt like the directly controlled smaller machines all the way to a "soft" response.

Of course after about a days use, you get used to it and don't even notice it any more. So in my mind it is a non-issue.

James, terrific explanation of the slight delay as the hydro changes directions! It is a non-issue for me as well, as the delay is only momentary. Fallon, I've had the NX4510HST cab since Spring 2014 and love it, after 22 yrs with an open-station, flirting with heat stroke every summer and frost bite every winter. And our No. VA climate is relatively temperate. For your winters, a cab will be even more welcome. As for the additional cost, I can pretty much assure you that in six months it will be a distant and pain-free memory.

I have no idea if any of the tractors that you are considering have a turbo or not, but at your elevation you would really appreciate having one vs not. I'm not saying that a non turbo doesn't work, you know that it does, but not as well as one with a turbo.

Just something to consider as long as you are making an up-grade. ;)

If I recall off the top of my head, the Kioiti's are turboed & the Kubota Grands were not. Don't remember about green. I had thought about that too a bit. So just to confirm, turboed engines are less affected by elevation than standard aspiration? Our place is over a mile up, although we are only at the foot of the Rockies. Those folks up from us definitely have it worse, heck I have a hard time breathing up there, no wonder an engine does.

I'd take a look at the Kioti webpage, but from what I understand it's legendary for not having the correct info, especially for some of the engine stuff.

Kioti list the DK40 as being natural aspiration. My Kubota Grand is also natural aspiration.

From what I learned at the dealer, all the new CX AND NX Kiotis are turbo diesel, the previous tier4 interim were natural aspiration. They are all three cylinder (if I'm reacalling correctly) versus the 4 cyl in the DK.
