what kind of wildflower?

Can anyone name this flower?I found it growing wild in a clearing in the woods last year and brought it home and replanted it. The blue flowers close at night.

Thats a "Spiderwort". Around here the nurseries have domesticated it and have white and pink flowering Spiderwort. There are short and tall varieties. They are a pretty flower!

My better half told me they are call Purple Wart..and very hard to get rid of once the root soild..oh yes she wish she had some.

I saw those in a movie. They are Triffids. They eat people.

Sure are purty, though.

Thanks for the replies Thomas and Dozernut. I had no idea. But you are right. I typed spiderwort into search and got all kinds of pictures.
