Some of those old lawn tractors were built very well. If I had a nice flat, not too big lawn I might try to pick up one and replace the engine and get another 20years out of it.

Yeah, that old C spring steel system and metal seat might get upgraded. Although I have sat on worse. I am on a slope (not as acute as yours) but I need 4WD to get around the parcel I live on.

This is also an old Suburban Lawn Tractor. It is Hydrostatic, has cruise control, electric pto and electric lift for the 36" snow blower. It rides nice too. I also enjoy keeping old equipment running.
