If it a really long thread it would take time to proof read the whole thing before hitting a post button.

Same here. When writing emails I seem to be able to see my mistakes (usually) before sending. But not on forums.

Someone chastised me for that recently. Said that I should write things right, the first time around. Accurate communicatons are everything, even if requires a few "takes" in my opinion. I would almost swear though, that some spelling errors happen after you press ENTER.

Most of my mistakes would look better if autocorect had left them alone.
