Them Van Zant boys cut a country album or two a few years ago and have a great line in a song about "If ya want to hear God Laugh, tell him your plans..."

Seems accurate to me!

Be well,

When I was little and did something that really ticked off my mother, she would occasionally say "sh*t-fire" and that was the limit of her cussing as she was a church going woman. It had to be really bad for her to say that. I grew up and one day at work, I asked an old old black fellow, what that meant. He looked at me and said, "white boy, during the depression people would say "sh*t-fire and save the matches". That really cracked me up as I thought about the times she grew up in. She's 89 now and I suspect she has more phrases locked away that I have never heard. Oh boy, by the time I heard her say that phrase...it was too late to run and I would "get it"...yeowch. :ashamed:

Did you ever hear that it was hotter than a tar kiln, the "n" was silent? Took me years to find out how hot that was.
