What is your favorite flashlight?

$1 specials (including the batteries). Buy 10 or 20 at a time and put them everywhere (trucks, tractors, combine etc). That way, maybe I can find one when I need it and when I eventually run over it, plant it, bale it or loose it.... just grab another one.

I did that but 3 months later none of them worked.

Yep, I have had my fair share of cheap flashlights ( more like $15 dollar cheap ), and they don't last long. Like most anything else it is worth paying for a quality product.

I've found you can buy a decent one for over $15 if you watch for sales.. the $1 dollar ones I stopped buying when 20% out of the package don't work and the rest only work for a short while.. agree very annoying. I don't work with mine for a living though. If I did I would buy top quality lights as some of you have said.

Streamlight for me as well! I keep streamlight styles in tool bag all the time and micro stream in my pocket like another poster said. I work in property management so I am all the time needing to look in dark areas. I got a protrac 1L for Xmas and carry protrac HL in truck. I was given protrac HL headlamp for Xmas last year. It's a little heavy but love the three settings. Most family says they don't ever know what to buy me for Xmas and birthday so they just go with a flashlight.

"IF IT'S FREE IT'SFOR ME":thumbsup: - Harbor Freight mini-light has led bulbs and 3 AAA batteries inside and comes free with or without purchase. Only had to replace batteries in one flashlight so far. Like stated by some I have them all over the place for when you need one.

I've been looking at the Streamlight 44450, sure gets good reviews and seems to be a Fire Department favorite

I have a good friend who is fire chief for our local fire department and he loves his. However none of us hold a candle to fireman and there love or willingness to buy expensive flashlights. It's pretty funny he gets his as part of their "new gear" every time the latest and greatest ones come out. However he also buys one for his personal use to. I tell him all the time, they are in your fire car sitting in your drive way just walk out and get it you don't have to have one sitting inside as well. He has a bunch!

Okay, now I'm drooling over the Streamlight Waypoint 44910. 1000 lumens at 678 meter (2224 feet ! ) spot light. Wow !! I am more in need of a spot light than a flood light and this one looks nice. Anyone have one?
