What is this?

Yep, I'm thinking it functions on the 3pt rather than the FEL.

Europeans use their tractors much differently than we do here. Very common to "road" a tractor in Europe. Where many tractors here are rarely on the road and if so very short distance.

Very different indeed. My 200HP Massey has a completely different 3 point hitch, air brakes, etc.
From what I was told by the importer, they have an “OSHA on steroids” system over there. Tractors that we would think have overkill on safety items are obsolete there and sold in the USA.

Thanks guys!

The tractor didn't come from Europe. Me being from Ohio ....... I will tell you it did come from a foreign land.......... Michigan!
All joking aside.....I have been tracing lines just need to continue tonight.

Understanding it, the valve is an all or nothing type thing?

Most newer tractors and especially Kubota's have two relief valves on the 3 pt hitch.

One relief acts as expected and limits the weight the hitch can lift.

The second relief valve is called a SAFETY valve and its job is to deal with shock loads while driving with a suspended load.

This SAFETY valve needs the use of a fuel injector tester to test and adjust it as its pressures are much higher than the regular relief valve.

It is because of this second valve you do not see accumulators on the 3 pt hitch but that does not mean that someone might not install one.

The Safety valve takes quite a shock before it opens. The operator would have to jump through the roof of the cab.

This accumulator smooths out the ride for bumps or potholes on the road or field. So it's still a valid feature to have, pretty much like the ones for the loader.

Did you ever figure out if the accumulator was for the loader or 3pt hitch?
