Hello Everyone,
New member here, and, new owner of a Kubota BX1880. So far so good. I had one question that I can't seem to find an answer to hopefully one of you wise experienced folk can tell me. What is this little cylinder welded to the loader arm for? There is only one on the right arm but not the left. Curiosity is killing me over here, thanks! I'll attach a picture once i figure out how to do that.

Hi atitus - you may be talking about a part of the bucket level indicator. A picture will tell the tale.

Welcome to TBN and the forum. A suggestion - update your profile and let us all know where you are located. Not this question - but many answers will have a direct bearing upon you location.

Yup. Depending on the model there are different indicators. I usually there is a rod in that holder. The end or a mark on the rod lining up with something means your bucket is level. There are usually some linkages between the rod & bucket.

Pictures are actually worth a thousand words. Also, pics or it didnt happen.

Found a photo of mine. Can see the rod & linkage on the inside of the right loader arm. 20180509_190632.jpeg

Well, now. That little chunk of pipe welded on the upright to the FEL is NOT a part of the bucket level indicator. At least, as I orient with your picture. I'll have to think on this a while.

Well, along that line Bruce - its where you put your just picked bouquet of fresh wildflowers. Just to brighten your day. Stand back folks - the door is open.

I have a loop on the bottom of each of my BX posts to hold the loader mounting pin when it is removed. Maybe something similar for when the loader is off.
