What is this Kubota part?

Hello,

I have a Kubota B2710. It has a plastic "Tool Box" beneath the seat, and that box needed a repair. I removed the box to more easily fix it, and looking beneath it, saw a part that I had not looked at before. That part is marked with green arrows in the photo below. The rod marked in green, can be rotated by twisting the lever marked with the blue arrow, and that lever is most easily accessed when the seat is back in its upright, driving position.

I have no idea what this part does. Might you help me to understand its function?

That's the locking lever for the seat slider that allows the seat to slide back and forth.

Basically, when you're in the seat, hold that lever and slide the seat backwards or forwards and then release the lever so it locks.

The Locking Lever was a bit stiff, so I lubricated it to loosen it until it easily moves freely, and fully. I climbed into the seat, pulled the lever up, but, despite lots of leg effort, the seat felt like it was welded in position.

Is there something else that must be released?

Probably rusted or dirty seat tracks.... Have two JD riding mowers and a Massy Ferguson tractor and none of the seats move easily, but they do move "eventually"....May a little "dry" lube to loosen ...
