What is the proper coolant for a 545d?

I need to top off the coolant. I cannot even see it in the radiator. What kind of coolant am I supposed to use?
I have some gold coolant left over from my powerstroke diesel. It is the Ford brand that is gold in color. It did not require any additives. Could I top it off with this?
