So, pronunciation. Why do people leave out t's, r's,g's, etc? Have we become that lazy? Or is it the texting world that has lead to this? I listened to a College Educated Political Appointee on a Teams meeting the other day and she shortcutted several words multiple times. Even news people, who get paid to speak well, do this. Drives me nuts.

People that add syllables or extra sounds at the end of normal words when they're talking.
'Why aaahhh", "please ahhhh", "call me later ahhhhh" etc

But, did you axe them a question? 😉

Our CEO of the old coop would have plant wide meetings 1-3 times a year. A fellow worked said "have you noticed he says ahhhh a lot in his pauses"? Every meeting thereafter that's all I could hear. Educated guy too.

Another pet peeve is when people say that such and such is three times less than something else. Three times less means nothing. What they are too lazy to figure out is that such and such is only a third as much as something else, or 33% as much.

... or when they say "300% more" instead of 200% more, for something that's 3x another. 300% more would be 4x.

I don't expect everyone to remember calculus, or Euler's identity, but 3rd grade math shouldn't be too much to ask.
