What is some of your Pet Peeve's

This is a big peeve of mine. Some people really do need a dog. Yet the current status makes it harder for those who legitimately need one.
Depends on your perspective. As someone who doesn't particularly like dogs, it seems every business is going overboard trying to be "dog friendly". I miss the days when you could go to a restaurant, supermarket or even work without someone feeling they need to have their dog with them.

I love my dogs --- at home. Never felt a need to take them anywhere unless they are reason to go, like the Vet.
Having people camping with dogs could get interesting.

Tire chains, I hate them.

An hour later after shortening the chains and reinstalling them. I did both sides while I was at it.
Also, manufacturers that use bolts to attach wheels instead of studs. What a PITA they are, had to make a couple of studs to get the wheel in place then install the bolts.

What I did with those 26-12x12 wheels....
put them on the work bench
remove the valve core
put the chains on snugly
replace valve core
air them up to maximum pressure

I never had one slip off.

I found rubber tensioners work for me…

I have a love/hate relationship with tire chains. I love that they allow me to run turf tires for 90% of my daily work, but give me the ability to chain up to do deep snow or mud. But I hate how much the HD chains for my rear tires weigh, they must be damn near 100 lb. per wheel, and the time it takes to install or remove them.

I've never had one walk off a tire like that. What factor (ladder width? ladder length?) makes them more prone to walk like that?

Blinding headlights viewed from my rear view mirror.

Never was a problem years ago but the last few years some new cars are just blinding.

Peeve: Watching a streaming only event on ESPN sub-channel and they replay the same 5-6 commercials repeatedly throughout the entire ballgame. Regular YouTube is guilty of it too.

The piezoelectric backup alarms on construction and other equipment. Does anyone pay any attention to them after a while?
Nope. That’s one of two reasons you hear the static hiss versions on newer vehicles.

A study was done on this in Europe, I think initiated because they wanted to reduce noise in cities. But they also found that the beeper isn’t that effective in warning a bystander that they were in the path of danger, something about it being difficult to pinpoint the source of the noise.

The newer hissing type are much quieter, but also much easier to identify the source and direction of the sound, especially on a busy construction site with multiples of them sounding all at the same time. It sounds like someone repeatedly checking the mic on a CB radio.
