What is some of your Pet Peeve's

All of the non-religious, "popular" Christmas songs that started playing everywhere about 10 days ago.

For a nice change, one store was playing classic instrumental Christmas music.

I enjoy them, when they're in addition to, rather than in place of, the religious songs. How can you not like Johnny Mathis's "Winter Wonderland", or Bing's "White Christmas"? Heck, I like Greg Lake's "I Believe in Father Christmas", too.

I absolutely loathe Paul McCartney's stupid "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time" and Wham's "Last Christmas", hearing either has me immediately abandoning the channel. But out of character, I do like "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses, and "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer".

I don't mind them in very small doses. Working in some of those stores and hearing them for 6 weeks would have me snipping wires.

Shopping is bad enough.

Some guy is singing Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer on the radio.

But he keeps calling him Rudy. Not Rudolph. 😯

For some reason, that irritates me enough to make it onto my pet peeve list. :)

I have this device called a "Cool Living." Its obviously an LG product. Got it for the upstairs, as a cooling and heating system. Is one of those single vent out side types of A/C. Costed me $375 dollars. Worked well for four years. Then it didn't stop with high water, and flooded the upstairs over carpet. Difficult to dry out. But saved in time. Moved it down stairs, this year to make heat and the floor could take a bit of flooding. Took it apart, found the issue with the float switch, and replaced that. It stops now when its pan is full. It acts like a dehumidifier and heater. I have to drain this damn thing twice a day, of a gallon or more. And its very hard to drain this thing as the bung to drain is at floor level. I built a stand, that makes a bit easier. Still the design of this thing annoys me, if I have to attend to it twice a day, even if it has both functions as a dehumidifier and a heater.
I have two dehumidifiers I bought from Amazon like this. One in garage bathroom, other in horse stable tack room. I drilled a 1/2" hole in each plastic tank and tapped it for a brass nipple J.B. Welded in place. I attached a small drain hose (aquarium tubing) to go outside with screen over it (dirt dobbers).
It's worked fine for years.

My peeve is using superglue. Whatever you're gluing it doesn't work...but it dang sure glues your fingers together.
Reminds me of anti-sieze. Once you open it up, be consigned to the fact that you're going wear some of it. But I still use a lot of it. Gotta take the bad with the good.
