My point though is, how does a voting age adult not realize what county they live in, and that they don't get a say in the neighboring county or city? I mean, isnt that something you probably should know
Or state, if you are a Kentuckian wondering why the polls weren't open yesterday.

I remembered! People who refer to slotted screws or screwdrivers as “flat heads”. A round head slotted screws is not a “flat head screw”, nor is a slotted pan head, and there is no such thing as a “flat head screwdriver”.
We always called them either a phillips or a straight edge

New rain parka hoods.

Old hoods were fine. The last two purchased, different makes, have hoods so long that they fall down to nose or mouth level unless you are wearing a cap. There are no adjustments on them. Walking around blind must be the new fashion.

Took a selfie with me in the parka, without wearing a cap.

The overall trend to reduce human interactions. Self-checkout, order from home and have it delivered, Kiosks in fast food establishments, heads buried in smart phones, long text streams instead of just talking, automated phone menus and the list goes on.

We keep avoiding interactions with real people and then wonder why no one seems to care about each other.

I had already typed the same, but refrained from posting it. :ROFLMAO: I enjoy interacting with my peers, but I have trouble pretending any teller or cashier is my peer. I feel obligated to be friendly and respond to their mindless conversastion starters, but would prefer to just avoid the whole scenario, if possible.

And that's not some elitist BS. Give me any carpenter, mechanic, or machinist, and I can be fascinated in conversation for hours. Two of my kids great-grandparents worked in the steel mills, and they could entertain me endlessly with stories of metallurgy and processing. I don't need fill my day with high-minded intellectuals, just anyone will a skill or ambitition greater than scanning bar codes for 8 hours per day.
