What is reasonable cost for hay baling

I live in southcentral texas and I am looking to see what a reasonable charge for hay baling should be for both round bales and small square bales. Any help or feedback would be appreciated. I am looking to have 50 acres baled and wanted to have an idea of the cost associated with it.

The Ohio State University has a 2008 Custom Rate Sheet you can Google and look up respected rates that Ohio farmers are charging for custom farm rates.

last time i checked it was about $1.50-$2 per small square bale around here once you figured in the price to mow and rake it.
not sure what round bales would go for - be a safe bet to estimate about 1/2 the going rate for buying bales I suspect, maybe a bit less if you're lucky.

Your local extension agent may have a sheet listing prices in your area. Last year I was charging $20 a round bale(4x6 net wrapped) until right at the end of the season, fuel bumped it up to $21. Right now it looks like I will be at $20 this year. I don't do squares.
