What is needed for driving on the road?

Well I guess I forgot something when I gave my input. My newest tractor has a seatbelt and I would assume that since it is available from the factory that I would have to use it when traveling down the road. I subconsciously know it is there but rarely ever think about it, because it was connected together and pulled as tight as possible and tucked into the rear of the seat from the dealer when I received the tractor new. Being an older tractor user I don't even think about it because well I never had to! I was reading back through this thread and someone had mentioned wearing there seatbelt it is just something that wouldn't have ever dawned on me!

I think in ma the requirement is a smv sign and flashers if you have them. However the issue is less about legality and more about safety. I personally stay off main roads here, its just not worth it with our crazy and distracted drivers.

In Missouri have a SMV sign & all the lights your tractor was manufactured with working & on. (Except the rear field/spotlight) Make sure you observe the stop signs and stay off the interstates.

Varies by state....here in MI, stay off the highways, have an SMV, and observe traffic control device, and you're good. My neighbor drove his Farmall Super M about 30mi to bring it home when he bought it...he's brave considering our drivers!
