What is it with Harley riders?

Maybe over the years of ridding and rumbling the they've made themselfs hard of hearing, and they have to rev-up just to be sure it's still running, after-all they are Harley's ya know, I'm a GL man myself!

This isnt about "taking" anything from Harley riders.

Noise standards exist and they must be held to abide. Same for crotch rockets and ricer cars/trucks with loud exhaust. We need more enforcement.

Yep, loud pipes save lives, see it all the time, bloody battered Goldwings littering the streets around here.

After reading through many of the threads referring to the loud pipes as if were a safety feature to save life's, I got to thinking if I have ever heard a Harley with a Horn:laughing: ( No I have'nt ) Perhaps the rev of their engines is their Horn, Rumble Rumble Beep-beep!

My Buddy in Colorado has loud pipes on his Harley. When he gets in his truck or car, he never takes it outta park before he fastens his seatbelt. Safety first ya know.

He NEVER wears a helmet when riding his bike....... I guess he's depending on the "loud pipe" safety equipment.

I don't get illegally loud pipes, an I don't get no helmet.... I think they both play into the mindset of those that prefer both.
