Best guess is that it would work 6 hours a week on average. Pick best weed wacker for a woman or short person is complicated.

I love my Oregon battery operated. It's my goto trimmer but is great for women.

I second the Oregon. My wife loves it, light and easy to use. She can never get the gas one started. We also have the chain saw and 2 blowers.

Definitely go battery. Do you already have any battery op tools? If so, you might be able to stick to a brand you have so you get dual/multiple tool use from same battery(s).

Gave a Dewalt 20V to both my wife and daughter. both are very happy with them.
Probably ANY battery one would be better than a gas one for them.
Who wants a unhappy wife...

My wife has a lot of trouble starting the gas weed eaters, the above is what I got for her. It has just as much power as the gas jobs.

We have a Husqvarna 129L gas trimmer. My wife is 4'11" and she uses it without issue. She can start it, run it for an hour or two. Sure, she complains about it, but she complains about everything and I don't know which complaints to take seriously. Maybe I should look into one of these battery powered trimmers.

My wife wouldn't use our Stihl gas trimmer because I had to start it for her. I bought a Stihl trimmer with battery and belt. The battery rides on your hip and there is a cord from the belt to the trimmer making for a light weight hand held with as much power as the gasser. Quickly realized I didn't need the gasser any more and sold it.

The other big benefit besides weight and quick on/off is the noise is so much less. I don't ever think twice about running my electric trimmer, hedger or even the chainsaw and worry about disturbing neighbors. Even the deer don't seem to mind as much!
