Too true.

Those poor buggers went through so much (Incl. my Grandfather) and very few realise the hardship they endured.

Now it is plastered all over the media.

Re: What if today\'s media covered WWII?

I was listening to a Charlotte radio station this morning and this moron, who apparantly taught at Duke University for 30 years, says that the United States should be basically split up so we don't bully anyone anymore!! He apparently lives in Vermont now and is supporting some plan for it to split from the Union because he's ashamed that his tax money is paying for this "Barbaric" slaughter of Afghanistan. This is a person entrusted to teach our children!!! I only have one question....Is home schooling allowed to receive a college diploma too???????

Jeff

It's just another sign that the country is getting back to normal. Right after 911, nobody would have thought about casting a dissenting vote. Now they're all back to squabbling again.

Stick together boys !!

We like the idea of the US and it's military might.

We sure would find it hard to defend our HUGE coastline with the limited resources available.

I'm sure you would come to our rescue again !!

Cheers

Re: What if today\'s media covered WWII?

Not long ago I read Eisenhower's "Crusade In Europe". I found it interesting that reporters were sometimes privy to very secret information about an upcoming operation. Eisenhower just asked them to sit on the story for however long he thought secrecy should be maintained. And they did.
I wonder if Gen. Franks could do the same with the media of today, and get the same result?
