you buy a brand new Kioti from your local dealer, and he belly's up, and he is the only Kioti dealer in the state?

Only asking because I am considering buying a ck30 from a guy who is just starting out as a Kioti dealer. If he doesn't make it, does this mean I am travelling out of state for warranty work?

You don't list what state you are in, however, if you only have one dealer in your entire state the possibility exists more dealers could take on the product line in the future.

Kioti is working diligently on expanding the dealer market so I would expect other dealers, especially in areas that Kioit is not already represented, to take on the line. Thier approach is different than some other lines that have put dealers into every nook and cranny they can, regardless of the dealers experience or service facilities, etc. The Kioti dealer program will not appeal to a small unmotivated dealer. They expect some volume from their dealers and require annual "qualifying orders". But the tractors are outstanding, getting better and better, and competitively priced. It is very unusual that we see tractors back in the shop, most of our customers do their own oil changes, and it is very unusual for something to break. My point is that filters can be easily mailed and the odds of needed more than that are slim. If you are within 200 miles of a "back up" dealer, you could still get your tractor there in a day's trip for any unexpected repair. Many of the top Kioti dealers at the recent dealer meeting were fairly new, Who knows, yours may be there in a couple years. I say give the guy a chance. If no one did business with a new dealer, NONE of us would have made it!

I took the chance on a new dealer. What the heck, if everybody waits for him to become "established", he won't be around long! I want this guy to survive, I drive by his place everyday. He also lives on site, I can bother him anytime! ;)

My dealer was 6 miles away, parent company was sold, tractors have moved around, now back at original location. Phone number is busy, even at midnight(I checked). Property is for sale, another phone number for an "appointment" to see the tractors. Somebody's cell phone, says will be open in a couple of weeks as soon as he gets someone to handle service. This was in January. Still not open. Fortunately there are 2 other Kioti dealers within 100 miles. However, to get the FEL fix I get to haul it 100 miles. One of the main reasons I bought from this dealer was location. Dealer (old parent company) is still listed as a dealer, pretty sure they haven't sold anything in months. Wonder how alert Kioti is.
