He was posting a few posts every day and then disappeared.
Anyone know if he is ok?

Well, I hope I am wrong but it seems I recall he got roughed up in one of the "oil skirmishes" (not by me). I hope that is not the case and he is still about, just busy. Pruntyc is a good feller, I hope he is not gone away.
I am as guilty if not more so than any but we need to remember that the people behind all these goofy screen names like 3crows, pruntyc, or whatever are in fact people with feelings.
Perhaps that will be my New Years resolution, to be nice, as hard as that is for me to do /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif.
Pruntyc, where are you? and so many others /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. J

That's a good comment. I stay out of most of those threads that wander waaay off the original topic (best recent example is that one about guns...started off as a question of "what should I buy...?" to the usual pro-2nd Amendment/anti-2nd Amendment tirade). Then it deteriorates into the personal attacks.

Seen Steelfan recently? He left because of one of those kinds of threads (that one wasn't gun related). He'd madea reply that was an opinion (as most of us do) that was met with a pretty hostile response from another member. Too bad, Steelfan was a nice guy...

Really kind of disgusting...but if I went through all my 900+posts, reckon I'd be a guilty party too.

I kind of wish the moderators would just delete those threads that turn into a free for all...just to keep this forum focused on small tractors.

If they did that Roy there wouldnt be much left. We all get our feathers ruffled at some time or another and almost half the strands digress. Its really just a natural progression the longer a strand gets. On many strands it seems theres also a lot of behind the scenes PM's that get traded which sometimes adds to the tone of a strand. I guess The way I look at is if we all had this many brothers or sisiters there would be those who got along better with and those who we fought with from time to time. Just like family, I try not to hold a grudge, for more than a day or two /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Then move on. Most of us are guilty of that to some degree. Besides, this one was about Dick so that would mean the strand got closed at your post. I hope none of us want to see that because you make a good point. Dave

Most of the time everybody ends up kissing and making up, or at least agreeing to disagree.

As others have stated before, it is difficult to have a conversation with someone when you cannot see their facial expressions and body language. Perhaps they are smiling when they are typing something that is meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but what I read(or type in reply) comes across as a nasty-gram. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hope all is well with Dick, too.
