Hi I am trying to learn more about my tractor and find a place to mount a winch. The winch mounting is what got me to climb under the tractor in this location. My thoughts are to create a bracket that bolts on here and attach a receiver. My winch is mounted on a bracket that that slides into a standard receiver. While looking it became apparent that other things can be attached here(never said I was all that sharp:cool2 : ) . Any info would be great, any ideas on the winch would be awesome. thanks tractorwinch 007.JPGtractorwinch 008.JPGtractorwinch 005.JPGtractorwinch 009.JPGtractorwinch 010.JPGtractorwinch 011.JPG
The tractor is a DS 4110. Not much of a photographer either. Have a great day.

Now that I see pics. I will post more as soon as possible. Once again Work is cutting into my tractor time.

Nothing would go there unless you decide to mount a Front Mounted Snowblower which in turn would mount to the front subframe there.

Better pics. Any reason a bolt on bracket to hold winch shouldn't go there. I will not be needing a snowblower.

Two things: your battery hold down is disconnected and hanging down in the last pic, and your ground cable connection at the frame is bogus! If you spray penetrating oil, remove the bolt, clean up all rust and put it back together with anti-sieze it will save many future headaches.

Take some pics of what you have at the back of the tractor so we can see if there is a place to mount your winch. (And put a space between each pic so it's easier to see).

From the pictures I can not see any reason it would be a problem. What are you using the winch for?

Thanks for pointing out the ground connection, will take your advice and square it away. Battery holder is hanging down because had to take battery out to get truck started. (Something is draining truck battery slowly..Had to move it and tractor was close by.) Noticed some corrosion on battery and thought I would clean up before putting battery back on. Back hoe is on tractor now and will be for awhile, but will post pics in morning and leave space between. Thanks for the tips

Mostly skidding logs and pulling them up on the sawmill. Will and maybe helping me out the mud. haha
