What gave 60's Greyhounds their distinctive smell

/ What gave 60's Greyhounds their distinctive smell #41
Fun fact:
Most giant container ships use giant 2-stroke engines.
People think of high reving, smokey, inefficient, polluting, fuel lubricated 2-strokes like in chainsaws, outboards, etc…
The larger diesel fuel , and heavier fuels, style engines have almost nothing in common with fuel lubricated 2-strokes. The detroit diesel, wasn’t fuel lubricated, but it also wasn’t engineered to take advantage of the advancements made in large ship 2-stroke designs in the last 20 years. 2-stroke design also benefits from time dwell of larger engines
