I have a 2305 and just got back from my dealer with filters. I was wondering if anyone had cross refferaced any or all of the filters to other brands like fram or napa ect. The trans filter alone was 27 bucks and the air filter was 20 I only have 50 hours but my air filter was trashed since I have been doing alot of yard work.

My 2520 uses these oil filets :) John Deere M806419,Purolator L14459,napa - 1334,wix - 51334. They should be the same for the 2305.

If NAPA on line prices are accurate, it would have cost me about $18 MORE to buy NAPA (WIX) filters.

Try:

I compared the filter prices from my dealer with their prices, and they seemed to be a considerable amount cheaper. I was one of the lucky 2305 owners who received the free filter pack coupon about 3-4 months after purchasing my tractor. I will attest that the JD Hydro Trans Filter is VERY rugged as I have put several nice dents in mine an NO leaks (yet).

the problem with putting dents in a filter is that it may not work as well if i am remembering right well i dont know if anyone else has any thoughts on this

also while the filters may be cheaper check the micron rating and all that
