With the FEL & BH I'm running around 1600 to 1800 RPM. I set the hand throttle there, and supplement with the foot throttle. Any faster than that and I'm wanting the ear protection, and it doesn't seem to improve the power, just the speed a little.

Chris .
I don't own a BH ( wish I did ) . But for most of the Fel work I do 1800 -2000 seems to work well for me . If I'm rear blading I run a little higher . If I'm using the PHD I run it at less than 2k engine rpm . for the Hog , I run at around 450 -540 pto rpm . The tractor seems happy with these rpm's ,and I'm not in a race any way /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif John

Chris,
For backhoe work I run around 1800 to 2000 RPM.
For loader work I use foot throttle only and very the RPM's were ever I need them.

Today, while using the BH for the first time, I found 1800 was about right. Once-in-a-while I upped it to 2000 and then there was no decrease in the engine sound at all. Loader work is usually around the same, sometimes more if I'm in a hurry or digging hard with the toothbar. John
