What does your dog think of your driving?

Here is my pal Gunner----he is 11years old & loves to ride---we just came bak from a 3 week trip to Nova Scotia & he's ready to ride all the time-----( he needs a ramp to get into the truck)

Well the car only had 36HP! It took a bit to get up to highway speeds. But no, we weren't in Dallas, at the time! :laughing:

Now the only older car I know of, I think..., that had 36hp was a VW Beetle. Maybe a fifties or sixties model. how is my guess?

It's funny, you can buy a 40hp Kohler engine for your Z turn now...

Lot of very happy dogs pictured, I guess all of our driving meets their approval.
So do your dogs fall asleep or constantly watch what's going by? And I'm also curious, if you take more than one dog, is there a pecking order in what dog sits where? Like us as kids yelling shotgun first to get the passenger side window seat. I'm guessing one dog to a window.

Sorry, just getting back to this thread. Yes, it was a '59 Beetle, but I wasn't even born when the car was new! I just got to learn to drive it, YEARS later! After all, I will only be 29 on my next birthday!

Only one dog rides with me on a regular basis and then only when it's cloudy. If I park somewhere and leave her there, it's only for a few seconds and I never let her out of my sight. She does the same and follows every movement I make. I think she wants to make sure I don't run away.
She loves to ride, loves the radio and hasn't commented on the singing even though a penned a small tune just for her.

My dog looks at my car and pukes. She hates them, we will not feed her for 24 hours before the vet and she still pukes on the way there and the way home. Our vet is only 10 mins from our house.
When we lived in NC and had to drive back to PA we would crate and Dramamine her. One time my wife got the wrong kind....the non-drowsy. 10 hours of a puke covered whining dog was pure joy. I could not turn the radio up high enough, or open the windows enough....my poor mustang

Bob, SixDogs, and likely many others....you sing to your dogs, you sing next to them, unlikely they understand the words but they know when you are happy and that makes them happy. True love.

ok, do your dogs have a preference in music? Does your beagle's tail wave around like a conductor's baton when classical music comes on?... Or does your dog get down on the truck seat with his tail going thumpa thumpa??
Of course there are those wise dogs who simply fall asleep.
