What does EDC and DRC stand for?

I just bought a New Holland TS110 and the transmission says its a 16x16 QM W/EDC DRC. What QM and EDC and DRC?

a 16x16 QM is the latest version of the 16x16 transmission known as a 'Quad Mod' introduced in 1996 near the end of 40 series production. No real need to refer to a TS 16x16 as a Quad Mod because they all are.

EDC is Electronic Draft Control, has load sensing pins attaching the lower links to the chassis. L/EDC has mechanical top link draft sensing.

Haven't got a clue as to what DRC is, perhaps Creeper?

Thanks Rick, I kinda suspect that the ECU is not the one that the tractor came with. I need to find a replacement for it and I wanted to make sure I got the right one. After talking to the mechanic at the a nearby equipment repair shop, I get the idea that New Holland sells a basic ECU that fits most tractors. Then they have to program in your tractors features and then calibrate the clutches. I may be totally wrong about that. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow and see what its going to take to get more than four speeds out of this 16x16.

Program in your tractor's features? That may be the case with the newest generation of controllers, but certainly not so with 40 and early TS series. Any programming you're referring to would be done with factory software on a laptop connected to the tractor. I am not aware of any way to connect a laptop to your type controller. That wasn't an option when those tractors were built. There was a place in Canada that could repair the early controllers, depending on what problems were involved. I recall sending a few units to them for evaluation/repair, and had pretty good success.

I've heard about this place in Canada that repairs them. Do you have their contact information? And yes he may be getting the newer controllers mixed up with the older ones.
