I wear Keen Brand sandals nearly everyday in the summer, lots of toe protection, not necessarily steel toe protection but more than any others I have seen.

I suppose you're right; I never thought of it like that. My feet have always been sensitive, and being a rather clumsy individual, I have always managed to see that they provided me as much pain and discomfort as I could handle. Flip flops were just never worth the effort, considering I couldn't keep them on my feet any way.

I've developed arthritis in my right foot. My big toe joint is double normal size and rubs the top of the inside of shoes. Very uncomfortable. Flip flops alleviate that pressure very well for me. Gonna see a podiatrist next week. He'll probably agree that I have arthritis and charge me $700. :laughing:

Occasionally when I need a hand with something around the farm and enlist my oldest son to help, I most always have to send him back to the house to put on his boots , I used to have to tell my wife over and over till I gave up , but a 250 pound yearling calf broke her from her bad habit in the cow lot a year or so ago, he did what I couldn't and funny thing is she hasn't had to be told since to wear your boots.

Theres nothing sexier than hot sweaty stinky feet that have been percolating in steel toe boots for 12 hours at a time.

My pet peeve is people thinking its ok to wear their outdoor shoes in my house.

Since retired two thumbs up on Crocs. Crocs Off Road a thicker and wider version of the standard plus Bistro a Croc with a tough non-slip sole molded into the bottom that is also closed on vents. Zero heal spur and plantar fasciitis since retiring. 90% Crocs wearer now.

Sounds like there's a testimonial there somewhere; nothing like having a cow or calf in a stall stand down on your foot and refuse to move; of course your ultimate fate depends on what you are wearing on your foot...and that's from personal experience...and the one and only time I was ever kicked by a cow was in a milk barn.

Same here. My wife, son, and I have Keen sandals on nearly every day in the summer. I don't like flip flops because they are uncomfortable for me and provide no support.
