What do you think about this deal?

I stopped at the tractor dealership today to buy a drawbar. Well you know how it goes at a dealer. I have been asking about several larger tractors so I bit. The dealership received a few TC 40s with a 16la FEL, R4s, and a canopy in on trade from a local orchard. The tractors look new and have between 100-200 hours. I was quoted a price of $19,200. The deal also includes new finance charges and a new warranty. I'm not sure how they are doing this one. What do you think of the deal?

In my area that would be several thousands of dollars high. The local NH dealer has that same tractor advertised new for $19,999.00.

I'd disagree, its a very fair price in my opinion. The only way that tractor could be sold for under 20k would be as a stripped down TC40D, sounds as if this is the much better equiped TC40DA.

Neil, I'm not disagreeing, but what makes you think the tractors are "deluxe" models? Todd didn't say TC40D. Might they be non-HST models? Would that also be a good price? I'm inclined to think it's a good price at today's prices, especially with a new warranty.

BTW: When a dealer offers a "new" warranty on a tractor with 100 hours, is that warranty based on time instead of hours? Not that it matters, I don't know anyone who has run out of hours before the 2/3 year limits of the warranty. Doesn't the normal warranty run out to 2000 hours? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
