I have been looking for a 10k capacity 7x20 ft trailer for a while. I wanted to find one used, but they are few and far between. I have priced them at numerous dealers around here and the going price for one like this is about $3,500. Then I found this one in MS for $2,500 out the door. Here are the specs:

New 6'10" X 20 Equipment Trailer
6ft 10 inches between the fenders, 20ft bed length.
(2) 5,200lb axles with electric brakes on (1) axles GVWR 10,400 lbs
Pressure treated wood floor
Heavy duty adjustable pin up kicker ramps
2 5/16 coupler, breakaway box, safety chains, hd jack and all lights and wiring
(4) New 225/75/D15 Tires on 6 lug rims
Stake pockets located on both sides/diamond plate fenders

Trailer is made by a small outfit in MS called BTM. Trailer has a data plate, title, etc. Anyone heard, or had one by them? Here are a few pics, what do you guys think? I haven't found any other trailers any better for anywhere close to that price point. I haven't looked at the trailer in person as it is about 4 hours away. Thanks

I would not want to tow the trailer at 10k with brakes on only one axle. Upgrading the brakes to a 2 axle system should only be a couple hundred bucks more, and something I would highly recomend.

The trailer looks very nice, If it's new ask them to put brakes on the other axle, or you can have it done yourself, if that's possible.
I've got a 20 footer as well it's nice having the extra room. I looked for a long time before I found one for a decent price

Here in CT I think it's required to have brakes on both axles, never seen one without.

The only other thing, I can't see how the coupler is done, I prefer the adjustable and easily replaceable channel type.

Good luck.

Looks like a great deal. In your area brakes one one axle is fine because its pretty flat except in the north as long as you have a 3/4 ton truck or more. Now like the others said a second axle brake setup is only about $200 and is money well spent.

It looks like a good trailer all in all. I would also spend a extra $200 and get a spare tire and mount.

The only other issue I see and it may not be a issue for you is a winch will not be easy to mount without fabrication. I have a winch on my trailer and could not live with out it so that is something to think about.

I was already thinking about added brakes to the other axle. Either way it will be much better than the one I use now that I borrow from my brother in law. It doesn't have brakes at all. And I already have a spare that I think should fit. I will be pulling it with an 05 F-150, that is until I sell it. Then I think we will get an Nissan Armada, which also should handle it quite well. I will be putting a weight distb hitch on it.

And you are also right about a winch, I picked up an old Blazer recently and had to come-a-long that thing all the way on the trailer. It was a real PITA.

That is good looking trailer! I agree about adding a second set of brakes on the second axle.

The only other thing, I can't see how the coupler is done, I prefer the adjustable and easily replaceable channel type.

The Bulldog Collar-Lok Ball Coupler is more fool proof, easier to use, and stronger than the commonly used channel type coupler. I've used the Bulldog Collar-Lok Ball Couplers for many years and unlike other couplers, except for the Pintle Couplers, the Bulldog Collar-Lok Ball Coupler is one of the stongest available.

I was just about to head to the same place and check them out since I was going North of Birmingham anyways and in the area. Did my share of shopping also and they did seem to be priced lowest for my area.About the same distance away as you. But lucked up found the one I have on CL. and went with it only 1yr. old and had the title. 7m, Dual brakes,Spare, stow away ramps and Winch with a remote for the same price with a few nicer extra features. So I offered him the same price and he agreed. I had been looking hard and just got lucky,if this one did not come up nothing I seen local to me came close to that Esp. being 10m. IMOP. Also see what they can do about the brakes and a winch. Take the others good advice on that also.
