We will be cooking a pot of charro beans tomorrow in ours, to go along with the 2 big trays of hot enchiladas.
We made 3 dozen tamales for Christmas in our two 6Qt Instant Pots. They get pressure steamed for 45 minutes - can't do that in a crock pot.
Let us know how the air fryer on the Instant Pot preforms.
Not exactly what I expected to air fry, but anyway... The wife air fried 2 big potatoes last night for supper, took about 25-30 minutes so not faster than the microwave, however, it did make the skin crispy and the inside seemed hotter than usual and fluffier so we called it a success and worth the extra time over the microwave.
She's been doing lots of online research and recipe planning for the air fryer and then pressure cooking so should have several to report on in a week or so.
I made tomales in my pressure cooker before, and I MUCH prefer the way they come out when done the traditional way, on top of the stove. We made 3 dozen tamales for Christmas in our two 6Qt Instant Pots. They get pressure steamed for 45 minutes - can't do that in a crock pot.
Yes I do have a glass lid. I have the silicone lid for mine also. Use it to store leftovers in fridge. Also have non stick pot. Not sure what came with original buy.
I have the 3 quart 10 in 1 Ultra model. So far I have been able to get all that I want in it. Other times I wish I had the 6 quart. Most recipes are for the 6 quart.

SO, on top of the stove is the only way I make them now...
