What do you do for a snow depth indictor?

I usually wait for someone else to tell me how much they got then earnestly report how we got about 20% more.

+1 We've got a guy at work that lives near a medium-small river. He says it's always worse where he lives because of the "river effect".

I haven't had to put my boots on yet this year. Been plowing what little snow we had with my tennis shoes on.

You call them tennis shoes, I call them sneakers, same shoes only mine are size 12's.

So far we have had 1' on my indicator, in the parking lot we have about 3' and next to the shed the grass is showing so only the Good Lord knows how much snow we have now and it is still snowing hard. So much for my indicator. Ed

I wait for the weatherman to tell me how much we got. We get so much wind it is hard to measure.

I use the 3 measurement method...none, some and a lot. Used to work with a guy that measured it to the 64th inch (he always had more than I did but was never a contest I was interested in entering).

I have a snowman on a yardstick planted out in the yard. If I can't see the snowman, we have a lot of snow!

I guess I shouldn't call them tennis shoes. They're more like low-cut hikers. I wear 13's.
