John deere 770
So I recently purchased a JD 770 with front mount plow and woods mower. It has a total of 814 hrs. Paid 8k. Not super sure if that was high low or medium. My question is, is there any easy way to know what the difference between numbers is? 770 870 etc? Being new to JD I'm looking to learn.

The 70-series was made 1989 - 1998. The leading number indicates the size within the series. There were 670, 770, 870, 970, and 1070.

I have an 870 that I bought new. Great little tractors.

There was an earlier 50-series, and a later 90-series, then they went to a different numbering system.

The easiest way to get a fast look at the specs of different models is to search the brand and model numbers on TractorData.com.
