What do I need to know for carrying attachments on the 3 point to avoid breaking?

JD warned me about guys ripping the top link casting off 6000 series tractors, which is quite a heavy casting, and a "GERMAN" one at that lol. So that killed my notions for a 3ph hoe.

Always surprised to see the high prices for mini-exes, even used ones. HARDLY, something most buyers of compact garden type tractors would consider an option.

I bury stumps (except for the one in the picture- I didn't bury it because it was too close to my gate and it would have been really messy). That requires digging DEEP Holes. Unless one has an extend-a-hoe(?) one is not going to be able to get the depth that an excavator can go: the Takeuchi TB285 in the picture I posted above can dig down 12 1/2'! I won't post a picture of a monster stump that I buried because I don't want that on record (in the public domain)!

Unless you are digging fence posts or holes for shrubs, reach on a backhoe is everything, if you ask me. Makes me wonder why I don't think I have ever seen an extendahoe on an excavator?

I can certainly see reasons to want a BH, but not nearly enough for me to justify what they cost, even for the "cheap" Asian imports. Though it was rather helpful for the neighbor with the broken Yanmar when a water main was leaking...attempting to dig down by hand in our dirt is beyond difficult. Took me most of a Saturday to dig a 3x4x2ft deep hole when I first moved in with a shovel and pick mattock. This stuff **** near sets up like concrete when it's dry....

I do have a wash that bisects my property (basically a natural ditch for the non desert folks) that fills up with debris such as larger rocks and tree branches every time it rains. I can see where digging it out with a BH would be handy, though I'm pretty sure I can manage doing the same between the FEL and york rake. Worst case scenario, I just send a case of fizzy pops to a neighbor with a backhoe occasionally, lol.
