When GMA (Good Morning America) played it I heard Laurel. On another site when played I heard Yanny. The second site seemed higher pitched. I think there are two different recordings.

Playing around with it last night, I noticed it said “yanni” at low volume, when I turned up the volume so my wife could hear, it changed to “laurel”

I hear the voice say - Laurel - three times.

Laurel. Have to really pot up the high frequency side to hear yanni.

Strange - I turned the volume WAY down - then I hear Yanni 3X.

Is there any escaping this, we get it on the radio stations and TV and it's driving me insane, I really don't care.

Yanni- I hear no "L" sound.

Older people will tend to hear yanni, yanni is heard on smaller speakers

Any site, any volume, I hear 'yanni'

Yanni [and I'm old].

I'm 71 and I hear "Laurel" when listening to the linked audio (the only one I've heard) via the small speaker on my laptop (Chromebook).:confused3:

Could the difference be explained by earwax buildup?;)

Note to self. Check my supply of hydrogen peroxide.

Yanny for me. At first I thought everyone was lying who said they hear Laurel, but my wife says that she can hear both.
