What did you have for dinner?

I just took a round steak and cut it into 4 pieces. Browned each piece in oil in the bottom of a pressure cooker, with a little garlic powder. Put a rack in the bottom of the cooker, layered the meat with onion soup mix. Cut up 4 medium potatoes with skins and put them arouund the meat. Added 1 1/4 cup of water and cooked under pressure for 35 minutes. Had mixed vegatables with butter and whole wheat bread on the side. A little salad too.

I made squash soup. It was OK, a bit odd but certainly edible. Recipe from Parents Magazine (wifey pulled it out). Contained winter squash, potato, onion and chicken broth but the odd thing was the spice package: Nutmeg, cinnamin and ginger. Again, it was OK but had a slightly Eastern flavor that I wasn't quite ready for. Started it all with a Martini including bleu cheese stuffed olives so the rest really didn't matter anyway/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Thanksgiving leftovers - Turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes etc. -- plus some homemade tomato soup to get started. Rounded off with homemade trifle.

Too dog-tired after entertaining relatives for the last few days to do anything else!
