What did you do to or on your Mahindra today?

I had to clean up a lot of debris, several tons. Used my EA Grapple and the 2538 to transport it across the property for disposal.

Bought the disc off my neighbor today for $350 after he let me use it for making food plots a few weeks ago. Today i used it for a field of radish.

Got up this morning thinking I would mow a few acres. Climbed up, turned the key...nothing. Battery was dead. I had just cleaned the terminals and connections and it worked great yesterday. But this morning...nada.

Had to take most of the front end off to access the battery: Right side panel, Front bumper, air cleaner assembly, air cleaner bracket, horn, bottom grill to access locking flange for battery, horn, and finally battery cables, and battery.

Surprised the battery only lasted about 2 years. Was an Exide, which I thought was supposed to be an OK brand. But my "dealer" is no longer a dealer, so any warranty that might be available is long gone. And I wouldn't want the same battery again anyway after this one only lasting 2 years.

Went and got another battery, got home, and wouldn't you know the terminals are now on the front top of the battery, instead of the back top of the battery like the OEM. I had to cut notches in the air cleaner bracket mount in 2 places, in order to accommodate the battery terminals, and not ground them out.

Works fine now. Hopefully this battery will last longer than 2 years. Has 6 yr warranty, but we'll see.

Worked on cutting/splitting winter wood. Notice the Mahindra tool carrier. It's been invaluable when changing from bucket to forks, and removing the bucket when I'm mowing.

Painted all my property posts orange and did a multipass drag with my 1526 of all my trails getting ready for the start of bow season. Helping wrap trees for the local Conservation District next week, then have to finish putting up wood for the winter of '19 ....

Took out 4 trees that I had top'd earlier when Great Lakes came thru. Dug out three of the stumps. They were real heavy because of all the moisture we have gotten lately helped keep the sand stuck to the ball. Used my little 1526 to drag it flat, then raked/planted grass. Finally had a day without rain. I'm now on permanent break for the rest of the day.

PS: pic's added of raked/seeded area. And 4 loads of pit run/clay mix that was delivered last evening. [ going to work on my trails out in the woods ]

Hope you got it, good luck with it. I probably spent 4 weekends just adding things, prepping it, etc. as soon as i got my 2555. some things i did with mine when i got it. paint pen across all nuts/bolts that supported something or i thought might come loose over time (lug nuts, loader frame, etc.), dielectric grease in as many electrical connections/sockets i could find, used inner tube around hydraulic hoses that looked like they might rub and wear, mounted fire extinguisher. have fun.
