Cherry wood is awesome in the smoker, it's all I use:thumbsup: Plus, you had some tractor fun getting it!
yeah I have a bunch of cherry, a little bit of hickory, and a good bit of plum. Had a plum tree blow over last summer, I've used some of it. pretty good stuff too, any fruit wood is good

some time in the next couple of months, I'm going to be cutting down this pine tree that's close to 3ft across at the base, and it stays that way a long way up. If you want to head north and play with that, pm me for directions ;)

Papa
It too big for my mill. Where at? I may be able to help find one that can handle it. I am a member of a couple mill FB groups and the Forestry Forum

ok as for what did I do on my tractor today. Started out with the chipper and worked my pile of limbs down about half way. I was waiting on UPS to deliver the new PTO shaft for the tiller. They got it here in time for me to load up and go bush hog 5 acres for a man on the other side of town. So, chipped limbs and bush hogged. Now up to 35 hours, and I bought this on 8/18/18, so I've had it a month. The good thing is, I've generated more than enough to pay this months payment :D which is all I really want to do with it for anyone else, just pay the payment every few months (if not every month)

I'm up in Cedartown, just a few hours up from you. I sold a big cedar tree I cut down in the spring to a local guy, I need to contact him and see if he wants to buy it. there would be a LOT of live edge mantels that could come out of this thing, that's for sure! Heck if I could get a solid slab out of it, it might be wide enough to make a kitchen 'farm' table

There is a wire on the BH boom for some kind of worklight, but I can't figure out where it connects to the tractor and the dealer didn't know either. Where do I look?

There is no connector for that wire. I used it to add a light, I cut the wire at the BH mounting, giving it a little slack. I used waterproof auto connectors at that point. Then fished the wires up to the dash. I used a 25 amp relay from the batt to the light and the switch.

Well, that's silly. I guess the BH manufacturer does that no matter which tractor just in case some have a supply. One more thing to into the trailer connector then I guess along with the yellow blinkies.

all I'm doing today is clean up. man some of that stuff in the field I bush hogged yesterday was over head high. Had to clean the screen 3 times yesterday and STILL got some in the radiator, so time to get out the hose and run it backwards through there and wash that junk out of there. Also had a tremendous amount of some kind of weeds with a cluster of red berries on the top of the stalk, had that red junk all over my pretty blue tractor, that had to GO ;)
