Not steam. We have a stainless steel tank with a couple large heating elements. The wood is soaked in pretty hot water for awhile.

Called a precast place. Was surprised on two counts. One thses steps only cost $640 CDN + 13% tax, AND they weigh 1600 LBS! More than I figured.

So for 50 bucks in diesel and a days work, I guess it's all right. Not exactly the great win fall, I thought. If I had broken something or got an overweight fine, that would have been bad. I can only have 500 pounds in that trailer to be legal. I bet my gear and the railings weighed that.

Your 500 lb.(tiny) legal trailer,........ and some government agency would even bother to check the weight?
Maybe..... if the wheels were squatting out?

It's all about TAX COLLECTION, nothing about safety. Pull a guy over with yellow sticker on his truck and trailer and you are still sure to squeeze some more cash out of him. These #$#@# are on the public tit and look forward to a nice pension. Many of us working stiffs don't have those perks.

Must be where the term "Highway Robbery" came from.
